First Minister’s Reading Challenge

We are delighted to announce that we have signed up for the First Minister’s Reading Challenge. The Reading Challenge is open to all pupils in P4- 7. The First Minister’s Reading Challenge is an inclusive and flexible project which challenges schools to do three things: create and embed a reading culture in school, work in partnership with libraries and communities to deepen engagement with Reading and celebrate pupils individual reading journeys. Over the course of this year we will be encouraging all pupils in P4 to 7 to take up the challenge. Pupils will soon be provided with a reading passport and be encouraged to read as many books as they can. We will also be taking a whole school reading journey developing a reading culture in our school.
