The start of our Commonwealth Week got off to a flying start with our P7 Camera Club Exhibition and the first showing of our school weaving (see Blog March 28th for more information). Both exceptional pieces of work were available for viewing on Tuesday during our open-afternoon. We are receiving such positive feedback on the warm atmosphere generated by the pupils, staff and all who came. The Brass Band, led by Mr Kennedy, certainly drew a crowd in the Courtyard. This morning we watched and cheered as the Commonwealth Baton was carried through Duns. The excitement and the weather reminded us of the ‘Olympic Torch’ day back in 2012. However, some people reckon today was even better! Mrs Higson had organised sporting activities for the pupils throughout the day and the weather is continuing to shine! If you haven’t manage to see our photo exhibition or the weaving, please come to reception and we will organise a tour for you!
