Message from Mrs Higson, our Leader of Learning for Sporting activities -Following the success of the 2012 Olympic Passport, Borders Sport and Leisure Trust will be launching a ‘Commonwealth Passport’ in January 2014. The aim of the Passport is to encourage as many young people as possible to get active, whilst trying out a range of Commonwealth sports in the lead up to the Glasgow 2014 Games.
All P1-7 pupils across the Borders will be given a Commonwealth Passport at the start of the 2014 calendar year and will be encouraged to attend as many Commonwealth sport sessions as possible from 15th January to 3rd August.
To celebrate the launch of the Passport, Borders Sport and Leisure Trust are going to be holding an official launch on Friday 17th January, 10am-12noon at the Queens Leisure Centre in Galashiels.
Four of our Primary 6 pupils have been invited to attend the Commonwealth Passport launch.
