Our cook Paul has won the Borders school cook of the year competition. In August he will be taking part in the national competition. A big well done to him and the rest of the canteen staff, we are very lucky to have them!

We had a visit from this year's Reiver, Euan Reid and the rest of his party. They sang the Duns song and told us a little bit about "Reiver's week" in the summer.

Our canteen has been awarded "Canteen of the month" by Scottish Borders Council, so a big "Well done" to them. Mr Bates has been very busy in the garden, helping the pupils grow a large variety of vegetables, which the canteen are going to use in school meals. A massive "Thank you" to him for all of his hard work.
